Our Visit to Compassion Home

some of the children at Compassion Home

2 weeks back, we paid a visit to Compassion Home in Subang Jaya. A friend of mine, Y, organised this visit. She had arranged a McDonald's lunch for the kids and a few of us who have attended. Also in the line up were some fun and games conducted by a rep from McDonald's. Y's family had generously donated 6 month's worth of groceries and toiletries to the home.

I roped in a few other friends K, C and E to help out. Many thanks to their contribution too in getting gifts for the children and C for the lovely cake she had painstakingly decorated until 4am! We brought our kids along and they clearly enjoyed the games with the children of the home.

It was great fun having to spend about 2 hours there, getting to know the kids, the caretakers, and how they manages them. Other than that, it was good to meet Y, K and C there. We have so much catching up to do. E can't make it with his family that day, what a pity. Otherwise, his kids would have fun there too.

The children sang us a couple songs as a token of appreciation before we left. I guess at the moment they won't need any groceries nor toiletries but should you decide to do something for these children, please contact Mr George, one of the caretaker of Compassion Home.
