French Toasts with a Dollop of Kaya

Lame post today... easy peasy french toasts served with a dollop of delicious kaya (eggy custard jam in Malay). Whisk eggs with some milk. Add castor sugar to taste. Sometimes I put in some cinnamon powder. Soak bread slices on egg mixture. For a cheesy toast, place a slice of cheddar cheese in between 2 slices of bread before soaking in egg mixture. Super yummy! Next, heat non-stick pan and coat some butter all over it. Fry bread slices till golden brown. Serve plain or with a dollop of kaya or peanut butter or marmalade.

  1. Yum! I love french toast but not sure why, I don't make it too often. Okay, must resolve to make some this weekend.

  2. You do love kaya a lot, don't you? I usually take french toast with granulated sugar only.
