Mixed Grains Fried Rice

Mixed grains fried rice

Just the usual fried rice of eggs, chicken breast meat, mixed frozen vege and French beans with the exception of the usage of mixed grains rice of brown rice, red rice, millet, flax seeds and errr another type of grain which I can't remember its name.

We have been eating various types of mixed grains rice ranging from 5 grains to 10 grains but these days I mix and match my own grains. These kinda rice attract weevils and bugs easily so best to store them in the fridge.

  1. i must try cooking mixed grain fried rice. it simply sounds so healthy :D. Do I find millet, flax seeds at the normal supermarket or do I need to go to special shops like the Organic stores?

  5. yozora, you can find those seeds at organic shop or section at super/hypermarts. there have prepacked ones as well.

skinnymum, 10 grains basically have those i've mentioned on top of sunflower seeds, sesame seeds etc. tasted plain like red rice and its chewy. keep you full. just need to add a bit more water than usual. u'll need to adjust as you cook along as each batch could be different :p

    ling, this one 5 i think :p

ciki, colourful food is fun to eat :D
